Bridal Affaire draws crowds to Gallatin Mall


It was matrimonial merriment, only in miniature.

ERIK PETERSEN/CHRONICLE A fashion-show model displays a tuxedo with flair to the crowd attending the Bridal Affaire at the Gallatin Valley Mall Saturday afternoon. Caterers doled out tiny cupcakes and small sample portions of roast beef to brides- and grooms-to-be in an empty storefront decorated for a wedding reception at the Gallatin Valley Mall Saturday.A life-size Irish band played soothing tunes from one corner of the small pseudo-reception hall. The runway for a bridal fashion show was set up in the back half of the room.Debbie Flikkema and Leanne Moss, of Churchill, came to the Bridal Affaire 2008 "to get ideas" for their daughters, both of whom are getting married soon and live in other states.Many others were there for similar reasons, and they strolled through the mall in search of ideas for cakes, flowers, food, decorating, gowns and tuxedos.

Herberger's sponsors bridal fair


Herbergers sponsored a bridal show on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Heritage Village Mall, 1645 N. Spring St. Nine vendors participated, including "Designs for You" that showed wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses. They also put on a bridal fashion show and had two models that showed some of the dresses. D&D limousine service parked a limo in front of the mall and had a table set up in the event. Floral expressions had floral arrangements displayed. Old hickory Country club offered their services for a reception. Taylor Rental provided all the linens used on all the tables for the vendors. They also provided a display with pictures.
